Endless Summer
It was an honor to design this 50th Anniversary “open house” style party. The reluctant host wanted it to feel breezy while making sure her guests were taken care of and enjoying themselves. Cut to a fully catered affair with two bartenders and, of course, Charmed Studios handling all of the details so the happy couple could sit back and enjoy the day themselves.
The theme was more around a color scheme and “vibe” of sea glass and hydrangeas which fit the coastal property perfectly. Tablescapes were draped in blue and green gauze with hydrangea bushels and single animones in custom test tube candlesticks throughout. We welcomed guests with a custom A-Frame sign with a watercolor print of their home and Limelight Hydrangea accents. The feature of the party was a large fish net that we strung between trees and clipped dozens of pictures throughout the past 50 years- all of family and friends, many who were at the party! Removable vinyl was used to create the “50 Years of Fun” mirror which was a perfect precursor to the display.
Homemade accents are some of my favorite to incorporate and are a great way to drive the theme even more. Cookies from “Kerrie’s Creations” based out of Shamong, NJ is my go-to vendor for adding additional “works of art” to my events. My gift to the host was a few hydrangea covered wine bottles to use as decor and for her to enjoy later.
Our Endless Summer Anniversary party was the perfect example that choosing the right vendors to take care of the bulk of the work, creates an unforgettable day the hosts said was even more enjoyable than the first time around.
