Citrus Soiree
This Citrus Soiree brunch was the perfect kick off to beautiful spring weather! Hosting outside in early May is a risk (and of course we had a back up plan) but this birthday scape was simple and fun and went off without a hitch.
The color scheme of yellow lemons, pink grapefruits, and green limes were so fun to play around with on the table with full and cut fruit. Cutting some of the fruit introduced even more intense colors throughout the scape and made it more interesting. We mimicked the fruit colors in our roses and added white hydrangeas so the colors really popped! We used dried orange slices to create a backdrop for our acrylic place cards and even had our matching “Kerrie’s Creation” cookies that fit the theme perfectly. The bar was set up with custom citrus cocktails and the food was a casual buffet of brunch favorites. We served on disposable bamboo plates which made clean up a breeze.
This host commented on the simplicity yet beauty of this scape which matched her invite and overall concept. Even for a small group of 12 with a simple buffet, this event felt elevated and upscale.
