The Cape Cod

You really can’t go wrong with a soft coastal themed party, especially with the popularity of shows like “The Summer I Turned Pretty”, and the song “East Coast Summer” by Kaleb Cohen being a top trending sound on social media all summer long! That became ever more apparent when this tablescape was booked three times in one month! We turned this popular theme into a “to-go” box and replicated it for two birthday parties (one inside, one al fresco), and again for a bachelorette beach party.

The name was inspired by the miniature lobster trap and an abundance of a hydrangeas throughout the scape. My favorite elements were the scalloped reusable plastic plates (that were— gasp, dishwasher safe!) and the cloth napkins that were affordable and amazing quality. Since we didn’t have a guest list until day-of, we ripped craft paper and water colored them ahead of time but added the names at setup.

This is a great example that if you have an idea but the logistics of time or location seem difficult, we can still make a beautiful tablescape work!
